Jake it’s been so hard to find words. The tree still stands in the field, the tractor still pulls the plough, the sun still shines, but you are not here and we miss you dearly. Your singing in the car, your lovely smile, your eyes lighting up at the prospect of some mischief you boys were contemplating. Your super polite and gentle nature. Always a complete and utter pleasure being in your company! We were so lucky to have had you in our lives. You were simply the best and we loved you to bits. You will always be in our hearts. Jake, we were fortunate to be able to make many happy memories with you and your family over the years – annual Santa visits, play dates, birthday parties... We all had so much fun and we are heartbroken that you have been taken far too young. You will be sorely missed, but always in our hearts, and we send all our love, hugs and strength to your family.

We will never forget the fun and games with you & Lewis and the many long country walks when you wanted to earn your 2 & 3 dogs badges - the more dogs you walked the more badges I had to make for u to wear. Jake …. What a great, fun, sensible, guy…. good company in the car back to college. Always polite, and trustworthy. I was more than happy to lend him my Fendt tractor for the tractor runs. He did a great job of cleaning it up…. And always left a bottle of wine. A real Gentleman……….one of a kind …

Oh Jake how we will miss you. We miss your smile, your cheekiness, your funny Tik Tok’s, your dirty dealer boots at the door and the trail of clothes that followed, the rustle of the kitchen cupboards as you worked your way through the contents, your sleeping 6ft3 frame on our sofa after long days either partying with your friends at college or from working hard harvesting this summer. But most of all we will miss you, our fabulous Jake. Life will not be the same without you in it but we must remember the memories we made with you. Love you forever and sleep well. I instantly thought of a photo of Jake, Adam and Daniel as smiling, bright, happy little boys at Ketton Playschool. I will try to find it. Adam remembers seeing Jake in the village wearing a cycle hat with a Mohican on it and riding a BMX which he thought was really cool. XxX

Our first meeting, bbq! Your beautiful smile drowned my heart from the word go, I was taken back when you referred to me as 'Auntie Kerry' you giggled when I questioned this. Our second meeting: my house, garden / sunshine and a cuppa!.. I was so proud of you that day, I knew how hard it was for you to come out of your comfort zone..but you did it. I knew you for a short time jake but you made me feel so welcome, and it was as if we had been friends for ages, The times we went to the golfing range and we where both absolutely dreadful but the smiles on our faces where massive and our laughs where so loud it put others off but we didn’t care, we where having fun.
